Cookie policy
We use what’s needed to keep you signed in and remember a couple of preferences. Analytics only runs if you accept it.
01What we use
Cohort uses cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary for the service to work, such as keeping you signed in; these do not require your consent. With your consent, we also use analytics from PostHog, hosted in the EU, to understand how Cohort is used and improve it. Analytics links your activity to your account id and account type, never your name, email or CV. We do not use advertising cookies.
02What we set
The table below lists every cookie and browser storage item Cohort sets, what it is for and how long it lasts.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| rv_session | Cookie | Keeps you signed in. Encrypted, and unreadable by scripts. | 30 days |
| rv_idt | Cookie | Lets you sign out of the login provider. Encrypted, and unreadable by scripts. | 30 days |
| rv_login | Cookie | Protects a sign-in in progress against forgery. | 10 minutes |
| cohort_consent | Cookie | Remembers whether you accepted analytics. | 1 year |
| cohort:applicant-columns | Local storage | Remembers which columns you hid in the candidate table. | Until cleared |
| ph_* | Local storage | Analytics (PostHog): a random id and session details, so we can see how Cohort is used. Only set if you accept analytics. | Until you withdraw consent or clear it |
| __ph_opt_in_out_* | Local storage | Records that you withdrew analytics consent, so analytics stays off. | Until cleared |
03Your choices
You can accept or decline analytics in the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time with the Change cookie settings button on this page. Declining removes the analytics data stored in your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block the essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
